Senthil has cumulative work experience of over 22 years, of which he spent 17 years in Wall Street. His stint with Wall Street helped him develop and hone deep expertise in financial markets.
Prior to co-founding OpenTap, Senthil worked in Barclays (2012 – 2013) where he set up their Indian technology operations for the Investment Bank division. Senthil worked with JP Morgan (2004 – 2012) in New York, London and Mumbai (OTC Derivatives - IT).
Earlier in his career Senthil worked for HSBC and Lehman Brothers in New York and Hong Kong building risk platforms for OTC Derivative Trading Desks. Senthil has extensive work experience in credit products like Collateralized Debt Obligations, Loan trading and Credit Default Swaps.
Inclusivity always scored high on Senthil’s list of priorities. He knew clearly that the only way to even begin making a dent to this mammoth would be to work from within the system, not from outside of it. That was the prime driver for him to give up a very successful career in Wall Street and come back home, to India. He then joined hands with a few friends who shared very similar thoughts about inclusivity to build OpenTap.
Taking inclusivity yet another step forward, Senthil along with some friends, runs an organic farm as well. Through this farm, the team is involved in reviving old age farming techniques which are both scientific and relevant today.
With a very strong belief that inclusivity would eventually become order of the day if the education system is changed; in his own small way, Senthil works with progressive thinking educators to build cognitive tools for learning and development.
Senthil holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharathiar University and is currently looking at ways of bringing inclusivity into the boardroom.
