Senthil Nathan Natarajan
Senthil Nathan Natarajan is the Chief Executive Officer of OpenTap. He co-founded OpenTap in 2015 driven by a passion to build a financially inclusive society and provide mainstream financial access to more than 70 million Indians aspiring to build a better life for themselves. As a dynamic leader, Senthil leverages his financial expertise and proven experience in leading strategic programs at global investment banks to help the company meet long-term goals and ensure sustainable outcomes. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 17 years in Wall Street, specializing in program management, offshore strategy and derivatives technology. A leader with wide-ranging interests, Senthil is currently working on bringing inclusivity into the boardroom. He holds a Bachelors’ degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Bharathiar University.
N. Venkatagiri is the Chief Operating Officer of OpenTap. He is responsible for supervising the company’s business operations and managing strategy, and deploying effective financial, operational, credit and risk management processes. His responsibilities also include partner acquisition, product management and compliance. With over 30 years of experience, Giri is focused on instituting ethical selling practices and enabling market fitment of OpenTap products. Prior to OpenTap, Giri held several leadership positions with the Kotak Group. He holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Commerce from Bharathiar University and an inter in ICWA.
As the Chief Marketing Officer, Vaishali James is responsible for building the OpenTap brand through a customer-centric approach, and ensuring delivery of consistent and relevant customer experience across multiple channels. Leveraging over 23 years of experience in brand management and customer experience, she leads various marketing operations at OpenTap and devises new strategies to increase the company’s market presence. Prior to joining OpenTap, Vaishali managed global marketing for Servion Global Solutions Ltd. Besides marketing, Vaishali has played pivotal roles in sales, communication and consulting. She holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Botany from Stella Maris College (Chennai, India) and an MBA from the Open University of London.
Jayprakash Mudhliyar (JP) is Vice President of Technology at OpenTap. He supervises technology implementation and makes it user-friendly for adoption by employees and consumers. He also creates processes and policies to adopt relevant technology in sync with business objectives. With 14 years of experience in IT, his domain knowledge spans investment banking, foreign exchange (FX), credit derivatives and bonds. JP is a Sun Certified Java programmer with a keen interest in learning and implementing new-age technologies that enable effective communication between customers and their service providers. Prior to OpenTap, he served as Assistant Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and as a Senior Associate at JP Morgan, Mumbai. He holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Technology from the University of Mumbai.
As Head of Products, Maheswari Nair leads product and service management, positioning OpenTap as a one-stop-shop catering to the financial needs of its customers. Maheswari is tasked with building robust offerings and product management strategies that resonate with customers. She has more than 13 years of experience in managing business units, business development, relationship management and marketing - across sectors such as real estate, manufacturing and media. Before starting her journey with OpenTap, she held the position of Associate Vice President at Mango Advisors. She holds a Bachelors’ degree in Commerce from SNDT University, Mumbai and an MBA from the Goa Institute of Management.
Samit Pathak heads the Credit and Risk Division of OpenTap. Samit’s core responsibilities include building models to determine creditworthiness of customers and maintaining a healthy portfolio from a risk perspective. Leveraging 17 years of experience in the BFSI industry, he is orchestrating the transformation of OpenTap’s Credit and Risk division by designing an inhouse model, setting up automated workflows, and developing strong analytical tools for underwriting. Prior to joining OpenTap, he was Vice President at Kotak Mahindra Bank’s treasury division and Senior Associate at Infosys Technologies Limited. He holds a Bachelors’ degree in Economics from the University of Calcutta. He also holds an MBA degree from Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research.
