Prior to joining OpenTap, Vaishali worked with Servion Global Solutions Ltd (1996 – 2015), where she was responsible for the Marketing function globally. She joined Servion as part of the initial team way back in 1996 and worked through different roles in sales, communication, marketing and part-time consulting. She unconventionally, held a single job in the IT / ITES industry for 19 years.
Social causes and a desire to give back to the society in some form or the other were thoughts Vaishali grew up with. A three year stint as a volunteer with NSS firmed up these thoughts. A chance meeting with the founders of OpenTap and an understanding of what they were attempting, looked like the perfect platform to participate in a very audacious nation building exercise. Their thoughts on inclusivity and their giving up of well-paying corporate jobs resonated very deeply with her and she knew that this was the opportunity to step in, join hands with them and make a difference.
Apart from her day job at OpenTap, Vaishali is a volunteer at an NGO that deals with Hospice and Palliative Care. She helps them with Marketing and Communication.
Vaishali is a Botany graduate from Stella Maris College (Chennai, India) and an MBA from the Open University of London. She’s also completed courses in Marketing in a Digital world and Creativity and Innovation from Coursera.
